At Painting, Sculpture, Architecture, Cinema, High Fashion. At other different Arts and fields of human talent expression, the result of a long and, sometimes painful, creative process is so beautiful and spectacular at first sight that spectator is amazed and captured thanks to the sight.
At that precise moment, he or she wants to keep investigating and satisfying his curiosity at the time, in the search, the own contemplation of the work is pleasant in itself. Each detail; shadows; the expressions on the faces, the realism along with an object is painted… And, at this moment of admiration, one is amazed because of everything the human being is able to make.
In a flash, the beauty of the work is offered and no intermediary can manipulate his opinion. Because on a palpable reality there is no intellectual reason to convince but emotion to drive someone astonished.
But, a work of Literature is trapped on the sheets. The format of a book may hide treasures like these ones hidden at the bottom of the sea. And… must be discovered. And when it happens, the reader who opens the cover and then turns to the first page and then to the second one and the third, the fourth and goes on, he understands that has come into a different universe and it may happen that this universe is also its own one. And he gets amazed.
Because what he reads on the white sheets are his own feelings and emotions. Because, sometimes, under the pretext of Literature, one is able to speak about forbidden daily matters. The heart of oneself can be told. Speak about things that are not allowed by the politically correct manners in terms of society. And he reads questions of the Life that he really wants to speak.
Those ones in which he is really interested in. And a vehicle is established between reader and writer. A network of communication through the consensus of many people flows. And this is the universality of Literature. It is the capacity to connect people on subjects that really matter. It is the vital need of a writer which impels to do it. A need to show and tell what he sees and how he feels the world.
“The God of Green Meadows” is the result of many hours of research, historical investigation, documentation and constant observation of the reality. A work that I started four years ago with the only thought to reach a work art. It is a book to be said to go beyond time and space; a detailed work which has looked for the excellence. Each metaphor, each resource is, in this book, the delicate carefulness with what a goldsmith has made his work art. I hope to be read and enjoyed and that at the end, at the last page, you feel a deep sadness to get it finished and close the book with the relief to know that your life, in some way, has changed.
